I am a holistic and integrative counselor who is passionate about healing from the inside out. I believe when we can turn towards our inner experience, we find there the capacity, courage, and wisdom to deeply heal. When we can heal the parts of us carrying burdens, limiting beliefs, and trauma energy, it gives us the ability to fully step into our authentic selves and who we are meant to be. Sometimes we can't do this on our own and need someone to guide us and be a witness to our experience. My goal is to come alongside others as they do the hard work of healing and being in this world.

I also specialize in working with Addiction and am the Clinical Director for Emerge Healing Center, a substance abuse and trauma focused intensive outpatient program. At the center of my specialities, I focus on working with couples and use a Gottman and EFT approach.

My experience is extensive in the areas of mood, emotional regulation, trauma, ADHD/ASD/, executive functioning, addictions, co-dependency, and adolescent challenges. I address mind, body, family systems, vocation, academics, hobbies and spirituality simultaneously. A Christian perspective can be integrated upon request. I am client-centered and develop a series of interventions that are challenging without being shaming. I work with a clients ages teen to adult. I strive to help heal the whole person and integrate different approaches to best fit each one of my clients. I incorporate Person-Centered, Psychodrama, emotion focused family therapy and cognitive behavioral therapies in my sessions. I have experience working with groups and individuals with substance abuse and mental health challenges. I view the therapeutic alliance between client and clinician as the most important aspect of therapy. I believe in working together with my clients to achieve their stated goals by fully caring for and supporting each client without judgment.

Dee is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia and also is a nationally Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She is a member of the LPCAGA(Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia) and GABA(Georgia Association of Behavior Analysis). Dee earned her Masters of Science in Applied Clinical Psychology from the University of South Carolina-Aiken. Dee has worked in the mental health field for over 18 years and has experience and training in crisis intervention, stress management, dual diagnoses, behavioral support, family conflict and other issues.
