My goal in counseling is to help the children, teens, adults and families I work with find hope and to gain tools to help make life easier. My work with children and their parents is purposed to empower their family by learning effective communication techniques, creating appropriate boundaries within the framework of their family, as well as helping parents gain tools to help them in parenting their children.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, I have been working with children, teens, adults and families for over 20 years. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas Tech University, and a Master's degree in Psychology from Houston Baptist University.
I have experience in working with children who have special needs, and their families including helping parents navigate the school system. My focus is to guide individuals and families to change patterns, discover productive communication techniques, to strengthen relationships and increase success at home, at school, and in their community.
