Relationships are at the heart of my work....relationship with self and with other. I work with adolescents, adults, and couples inviting you to step into your own curiosity and wisdom. I integrate a variety of approaches to meet your individual needs from a place of mindfulness and presence, holism (mind-body-spirit connection), and organicity (the impulse to heal lies within) with a strong trauma-informed background. Our process is collaborative - you know you better than anyone else knows you! We cultivate together trust in that knowing to help with depression, anxiety, PTSD and trauma, attachment and relational wounds.

Please note that I have an active license in both Wisconsin and Colorado. Over 20 years of experience in the medical and mental health fields serves as the foundation for me to provide compassionate and competent therapy and consultation services. I see individual adults, teens and children, as well as couples, parents and families. I have experience working with younger children; development screening for infants and toddlers, and providing play therapy with children starting at 3 yrs. I also specialize in EMDR and use this this technique for a wide range of client concerns.

I am an LPCC providing holistic therapy for adults and adolescents covering a wide range of psychological and emotional issues. I use existential and somatic mindfulness based approaches to help create a better sense of purpose, meaning, and connection in our lives. This helps to promote the building of a stronger and more resilient self as we navigate the ever changing landscape of life. I am interested in helping people develop healthy life, relational, and communication skills which in turn makes for healthier and more satisfying relationships whether they be intimate, parent-child, business, or friendships.

Susannah Smith, Ph.D., is an Executive Coach, Systems Consultant, and Clinical & Forensic Psychologist, with active licenses in Colorado, California, Mississippi, Texas and Louisiana. She is a member of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists. Dr. Smith graduated with honors from Vassar College in Social Psychology; completed her M.S. in Clinical Psychology at San Jose State University in California; and received her Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego, with a double emphasis in clinical psychology and organizational development consulting. She is a Certified Trauma Specialist.

I'm originally from Oklahoma and completed my undergraduate studies at Oklahoma State University before pursuing my Master's at Colorado Christian University. My specialization is in trauma counseling, and I believe that understanding our past is crucial for moving forward. As a counselor, I help my clients to identify the root causes of their problems and support them in their journey to healing and personal growth.
