Family Pride offers mental health and chemical dependency counseling and support services to children, youth and families throughout northeast Ohio. Services include individual, couples, family and group counseling as well as case management to individuals ages 3 and up. Our goal is to best serve our families within a supportive, flexible model of service. We provide services in the home, office location, and throughout the community (such as at school, work, or comfortable location).

I very much enjoy working with children, teens, adults, couples and families. I specialize in working with individuals/families challenged in their relationships and choices due to a difficulty in identifying and sharing their thoughts and emotions appropriately. I enjoy assisting clients in addressing issues and/or emotions that have caused problems in one's relationships in the home, community, and/or the workplace. Those impacted by substance abuse, both individually or as a family member are also welcomed. Other areas of focus include grief recovery, anger management; faith-based; ADHD; and whatever challenges you in life.

Brandy Kushan (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master of Education in Community Agency Counseling from Cleveland State University in 2010. She works with children, adolescents, and young adults. She specializes in working with children and adolescents who have a history of complex trauma, attachment disturbances/disorder, and placement in foster/adoption/kinship care. As a part of this work, Brandy provides ongoing caregiver guidance support. She has experience in addressing concerns related to depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief and loss, and behavioral issues such as conduct disorder and ODD and ADHD.

St. John the Baptist Recovery Outreach Center, a Ministry of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland, was established to aid personal struggling with addiction to drugs and alcohol. We collaborate extensively with other community agencies, hospitals, residential programs, and sober living to provide barrier removal and access to treatment services for clients seeking recovery. We take a holistic approach to treatment, combining both substance use and mental health services.

Let's talk about grief, and loss! Have you had a major loss, a love one died, a relationship ended, loss a job/career, loss of trust, or good health? Have you experienced a traumatic event either for yourself or witnessed trauma to someone else? The Grief Recovery Method is an educational intervention that provides both group and one-on-one support to address losses of all kinds and especially includes the death of a loved one. The Grief Recovery Method can be offered as a one-on-one service or a group experience. EMDR is another supportive technique/therapy used to address traumatic life experiences and life anxieties and stresses.

Matthew has experience working with young children, adolescents, adults, and families. His specialty interests include: substance use issues and addiction, play therapy techniques, identity development, crisis intervention, career counseling, and mood improvements.
