I have been working with individuals who experience family conflicts, behavioral issues, parenting concerns, substance use, infertility issues, and more, for the past 10 years. I previously worked for Child Protective Services for 8 years and have knowledge of child abuse and neglect concerns, court matters, and custody issues. I worked with an intensive family program (HCBS Waiver) that focused on youths with severe emotional and behavioral issues for 5 years. I also have a Masters Degree in School Counseling, which has given me vast knowledge in CSE proceedings, educational laws, and academic requirements.

Footprints was started by a therapist who realized that often times the services provided to low socio-economic communities is lacking quality care. We noticed these communities were confronted with long wait times, disrespectful admins, and subpar treatment. The one and only purpose was to exploit the community for profit without providing the level of care deserved. Feel Better Therapy began from the inspiration to provide quality mental health care to the poorest of communities and treating the clients of this community the same way a rich patient would be treated in a clinic treating affluent clients.

My approach in clinical practice is solution-focused, relational, and skill-building, however requires my ideal clients to be deeply committed to reconstructing long standing beliefs and judgments. With over 12 years of both research and clinical practice, I treat common concerns such as mood disorders, TBI / ABI, OCD/ compulsive behaviors, bipolar disorders, disordered eating, narcissism, and relational/ intimate conflict.

Throughout life, we all gather scrapes, bruises, and cuts. Usually, we try to do our best to clean these wounds, and go on with our lives. However, we might sometimes be busy, unable, or too nervous to clean these injuries thoroughly. As a result, we tend to find ways to cover them up quickly. Early stages of the therapeutic process might include approaching those old wounds, unwrapping the old bandages covering them. As we approach and discuss these challenges, we can spend time conceptualizing coping mechanisms that encourage healing. Over time, something that hurt so profoundly might begin to heal into a less visible scar.
