I work with children, teens, young adults and parents who are struggling with anxiety, depression and adjustment disorders. My patients typically experience conflicts within their family system and may have challenges that impact home life, school/work and social experiences.
I specialize in helping children, teens and young adults understand difficult emotions and develop effective coping skills. I include family work as part of treatment. We schedule family sessions periodically to discuss issues impacting the family unit. I can coordinate and consult with schools regarding placement and programming .
I am trained in a variety of evidence based practices including CBT and DBT. My training was at New York Presbyterian Cornell/Columbia Psychiatric Hospital in the inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric units.
