From a spiritual reality, I believe that we humans are "gems of inestimable value". Coming to therapy to learn about your own gem-like nature is an act of courage. I ask curious questions and wonder about non-verbal signals, so that you may safely explore the depth and breadth of your own nature. My background is in Process Oriented Psychology (with Jungian roots) and Developmental Psychology. I'm excited to include Internal Family Systems and Intimacy from the Inside Out. I became a therapist because I have a passion for working with people in meaningful ways. I have a big heart, and am warm and welcoming. I frequently work with individuals and families with a wide variety of challenges. Some clients are simply looking to find a place that they can take a deep breath and be in a place to address things that they want to work on. While others have severe symptoms or complex issues that are frightening and overwhelming where they need help sorting out thoughts and feelings while learning how to manage and navigate the challenges. Each client is unique and so are their experiences so my goal is to tailor treatment to best benefit my clients. I also run a small non profit counseling center and train new clinicians in the field.
