I value neurodiversity, celebrate uniqueness and understand the challenges of feeling like an outsider. I specialize in providing support for those who identify as: autistic, quirky, nerdy, introverted, highly-sensitive, or with ADHD, along with supporting their loved ones. My passion also extends to working with people of color, individuals with multiple minority identities, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

I focus my practice on working exclusively with couples. Are you resentful, angry, bitter or confused by interactions with your significant other or do you want to learn how to better communicate and improve the quality of your relationship? If you are tired of the insecurity, fighting, carelessness or living in the "roommate zone", then I invite you to participate in my program. My positive strength based method uses a warm, safe, empowering and collaborative approach that is highly educational and nonjudgmental. Together lets break that toxic spiral of doubt, anxiety, sadness and resentment and start rebuilding something real.

I typically work with adults (over 45 and often older folks above the age of 60) of various races & ethnicities, genders & sexualities, religions & spiritualities. All are welcome. Jungian analysis is a journey of profound self-discovery. It may be that the depths of the psyche ask for a different life experience! Symptoms like depression, anxiety, relationship / sexuality issues can begin the exploration of what a more meaningful & interesting life might look like. Note: This type of therapy is not a 'quick fix' process. As of May 2024, I have a short waiting list.

Clients come to me for deeper understanding of themselves. Often, the process involved is about looking at all of the puzzle pieces and fitting them together to create more clarity and expansion. I work with individuals and couples to help them discover their greatest assets and work through areas of growth in a compassionate manner. In couples work, I offer couples assessments to gain perspective on issues as well as workbooks and tools for conflict resolution and better communication. I especially appreciate working with premarital couples who are wanting to set a sturdy foundation for marriage in premarital counseling.

As a sex addiction therapist, trained EMDR clinician, and nationally certified psychotherapist, I work with individuals struggling with intense urges, emotions, and conflict. New clients come to me feeling isolated, in pain, and on edge due to having nowhere to express their toughest emotions. Many grew up in a traumatic family of origin with messages like "Suck it up" and "Don't cry" being taught to them. Ms. Kientzle (she/they), MA NCC LPC CCTP, RYT, EDMR-I, has been practicing as a licensed professional counselor for over 12 years in the St. Louis Metro area. Her areas of focus are trauma, pediatrics, and working with the LGBTQIA+ community. Ms. Kientzle is especially passionate about assisting transgender clients navigate gender-affirming therapies and helping people achieve their full potential. Modalities: Art Therapy, yoga therapy, EMDR, and trauma-focused approaches are utilized both in-person and via telehealth.
