Just as you visit physicians for preventive care, you can meet with a psychologist to address issues before they become problematic. This proactive approach encourages the development of psychological health. People are in good psychological health when they make good decisions, manage stress well, communicate effectively, have healthy relationships, and take good care of themselves emotionally and physically. Let me work with you to establish and maintain your optimal psychological health. We can do that through the use of therapy and/or psychological testing, as I specialize in both forms of treatment.

Cognitive wellness is a critical aspect of lifestyle wellness. My experience has included venues as; crisis, in and outpatient, and elderly care. Private practice includes youth, adults, families focusing on individual, couples, partners and families. I typically use the Cognitive Behavioral approach with successful client satisfaction in one's counseling experience. How we think about the situations / problems / disappointments that come in and out of lives play a critical role how we develop healthy cognitive skills to get through our emotional and physical disappointments, struggles, grief and pain.

I have an extensive background working with SMI clients and work well with clients diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. I also appreciate working with clients who are of Native American background and I am very knowledgeable of the culture of the Akimel O'odham people. I also utilize integrated therapies such as DBT, CBT and Existential therapy when working with those experiencing grief and loss and seek to assist clients experiencing bereavement. I also work well with adolescents, adults and older adults.
