Right now, things may feel overwhelming, distressing, and out of sorts with you or your kids. There may be symptoms like low motivation, difficulty sleeping, lack of socializing, or troubles with work and relationships. Or, perhaps it’s your child you are concerned about because you are seeing a lot of behaviors, such as isolation, withdrawal, moodiness, irritability, difficult peer relationships, or refusing to go to school or participate in the usual routine. If so, I appreciate how challenging it can be to seek support.

I believe that every person has their own strengths and weaknesses. My job is help individuals understand these strengths, that will in turn help them reach their potential. My style of therapy is eclectic. I base my approach on an individual basis and try to meet the client where they are, at the present moment, and work from there. I believe that everybody is unique and I try to accomodate individual needs to the best of my ability. I prefer to use a humanistic approach to counseling. My existing clients describe me as being very laid back and understanding, which helps in the therapeutic process.

I am a licensed psychologist who specializes in autism diagnostic evaluations and neurodevelopmental assessments of toddlers and preschool children. I also conduct neuropsychological assessment for school age children for a wide range of concerns including ADHD, learning disorders, communication disorders, and social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. I also attend school IEP meetings, conduct classroom observations, provide parent consultation, and follow children over time as needed.

My clients are on a journey of self-discovery to make positive changes in their mood, relationships, and academics or work, through psychotherapy or psychological assessment. I work with teens and adults in psychotherapy, provide parent coaching, and conduct assessments. When a psychotherapy client tells me that they "heard my voice" or an assessment client tells me that I "nailed it," I know that they feel understood, and they can carry the discoveries made through our work together to make positive changes in their daily lives.

My background is in both mainstream mental health counseling and alternative healing practices. I specialize in an integrative approach to wellbeing, incorporating both mainstream and alternative modalities and practices.

Core Energetics Body Psychotherapy makes the connection between the body, mind and spirit. The body holds both the psychological wounding and the higher life plan. Chronic psychological patterns and emotions held in the body hinders living life to your fullest potential. Using body techniques, movement, touch, and breathwork, I can help you transform these blocks. This integrates body, mind, and spirit and allows more access to your life force. As you more fully embody your true nature, there is an increased ability to experience joy and happiness. You return to your true self.

My practice is client centered, focusing on assistance with goal setting and developing strategies together to help clients meet their individual goals. I work with individuals, couples and families assisting them in making changes that will promote their growth and satisfaction. In addition, I have been working with individuals who are experiencing grief and loss, anxiety and depression. Some of these issues are related to the pandemic, some of these issues have resurfaced due to the recent changes in our world.

Does your child have trouble with attention, managing their emotions or behavior, or learning at school or at home? As a doctoral-level licensed educational psychologist, I can help by providing therapy and/or comprehensive psychological or psycho-educational assessments to better understand their strengths and weaknesses. Through evaluations, I can provide specific treatment recommendations for issues such as ADHD, autism, learning disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD. In therapy, I can help children and teens develop positive coping, communication, and problem-solving skills.
