I provide evidence-based, client-centered treatment delivered with compassion and humor. I take pride in helping clients make meaningful progress in a relatively short period of time.
My primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with integration of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills when helpful. CBT is one of the most well-established, research-supported treatments for improving mental health. It focuses on developing practical coping strategies to address current problems and shift unhelpful patterns in thinking, behavior, and emotional regulation.
I firmly believe that best results are obtained by treating the whole person and that may include thoughts, emotions, behaviors and environmental issues such as job and relationships. It is always my goal for my clients to become independent and not dependent on therapy to thrive.
I am very good at developing a therapeutic rapport with my clients and motivating them for treatment. I have many years experience delivering intensive family therapy to families at risk and treating adults for Depression and Anxiety.
