I'm a straight-forward, get it done therapist. I would have to say that my ideal client would be the client that only needs to see me about every 6 months for like a check up. The reason I say this is because as a Mental Health provider my goal is to help all my clients achieve a good mental health status. I want them to learn coping skills and strategies to be able to handle the problems that they may face. In doing my job that would be something that we would be able to accomplish together so that they may lead a productive and full-filled life.

I think of someone who is needing to express themselves in a way that they never have expressed themselves before. Because my specialty is trauma focused therapy, I have worked with many clients who have been abused sexually, physically, mentally, emotionally, etc. Their goals are to not let their trauma consume them, control them, and define them. Many struggle with trust issues, self-harm, and self-esteem. They seek therapy for a safe space, because many times the people at home and in their lives on a daily basis do not understand or try to understand where the client is coming from, making the client feel alone.
