I focus on how stress and anxiety affects most of our conditions and behavior and work on relieving that stress which helps any issue.
I am a licensed and certified hypnotherapist. I have experience treating a wide range of issues including the most common, weight loss, smoking cessation and stress/ anxiety. I have also treated PTSD and a variety of sexual dysfunction issues, and immune system issues. I am happy to work with people on anything they want help with. I am different than many hypnotherapists in that I don't require you to sign up for a certain number of sessions. I am paid by the session and you the client decide how many sessions you need.

Using nutrition and MCN neurofeedback give me a unique expertise in treating various conditions, such as anxiety, depression, AD/HD, PTSD, behavioral problems, etc.
Many common psychiatric symptoms are your body's way of saying things are out of balance. It doesn't mean you need meds, it means you need to learn how to get your body and brain back in balance so you can feel comfortable in your own skin, and become empowered to opt out of chronic illness and lost opportunities. I always say you deserve to feel your healthiest and absolute best all the time. I'd love to help you on your healing journey.

Are you looking for a different approach to therapy? Do you struggle with a lack of confidence, perfectionism, distrust in relationships, setting boundaries, and/or a sense of belonging? If so, I can help. I am passionate about helping people have more authentic relationships with self and others through connection with the natural world. I believe that humans have an inherent drive toward health, but sometimes get stuck due to attachment wounds, trauma, and/or stressors from our modern society. I work with adults who want to rediscover their wisdom and resiliency within, so that they can go through life more grounded and connected.

Seeking a safe space to explore and redefine their narrative, their goal is authenticity and navigating relationship complexities. They're drawn to a therapeutic space rooted in empowerment, social justice, and positive psychology, aiming for a transformative journey to question societal constructs and embrace a fulfilling life.

Anxiety Therapists

What are the most common treatments for anxiety?

Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?

The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?

Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?

Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
