Born in Bronx New York, I graduated Columbia University in 1989 with an MS in Social Work and became a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist helping individuals and couples thrive. I also use DBT and ACT to create a Psychodynamic Counseling approach. If you struggle with communication in personal and work relationships I provide you with techniques to help change negative behaviors like blame and reactivity into sensitivity and compassion toward the self and others. I have spent my career working in child welfare and with complex trauma survivors. I specialize in treating Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders. Clinical treatment approaches are based on Person-Centered Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Disorders, Traumatology, and Emotion Effect Regulation.
