Joan has worked in many areas of the behavioral health field giving her the unique ability to work and connect with individuals, couples, and families of all ages, backgrounds and life experiences. She has extensive experience working with those experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, family conflict mediation and resolution, grief/loss, couples, stress management, work/school-related pressures and the LGTBQ+ community. One of Joan’s specialties is working with adult children of alcoholics (ACOA) and individuals with substance use disorders and their families, recognizing the impact that addiction has on the entire family dynamic.

Joan pulls from a variety of treatment modalities to meet the specific needs of the individuals, couples and families she works with. She enjoys incorporating mindfulness/meditation and relaxation training into sessions.
