My background is in working with adults.
In a world full of unpredictability, change, and painful experiences, we all can struggle. In the face of the many factors that are out of our control, understanding ourselves is critical to taking ownership over our own lives and well-being. As a therapist, I can help you to: acclimate during/after major life transitions or trauma, recognize and change patterns that aren’t working for you, and identify coping skills. I am especially passionate about helping people with: exploring their identities, developing self-acceptance and compassion, and cultivating a fulfilling life.

I specialize in working with families addressing the physical, emotional and ethical concerns related to infertility issues as well as helping families navigate how to talk to donor conceived children and adults about their conception story.
I feel that therapy is most effective when the patient and therapist work both in the present and the past. Often the patient seeks therapy in order to relieve a symptom (i.e. depression, anxiety) or to resolve a relationship issue and they want relief quickly. I understand this need to feel better as quickly as possible but also feel that it is important to address early interpersonal issues that are having an impact on current relationships. In working along these parallel paths patients often feel relief of symptoms and gain a better understanding of lifelong dysfunctional patterns.

As a licensed Psychologist with twenty-plus years of experience, I enjoy working with adults who are committed to the process of improving their lives.
Tired of analyzing, re-analyzing and over-analyzing, but never getting anywhere? Feeling anxious, stressed, overwhelmed? Do you find yourself constantly resorting to the "quick fix" and/or negative patterns of behavior? My practice offers a unique blend of PSYCHOTHERAPY & COACHING where enhanced insight/self-awareness are accompanied by an "action plan." -Designed for the "do-ers," -versus those who prefer to "talk about doing," my practice promotes forward movement through the development of greater self-esteem/self-confidence, enhanced coping skills, improved problem-solving strategies, and a core belief that one CAN achieve stated personal, relationship & career-based goals.

Your choice to value your mental health is the key to getting back your feelings of agency, self-confidence, and sense of control of our own emotions, thoughts, and behaviors.

I believe that, at the core of every human being, there is a need to be loved and to be valued, and that we meet those needs through our relationships with others. By the time we reach adulthood, we have established relationships with our families, friends, romantic partners, work colleagues, and others. And, while we all hope for the best, sometimes these relationships turn toxic and/or abusive. Despite the fact that we are not always aware of it, these unhealthy relationships negatively affect our mental health to the point where feelings of loneliness, sadness, anxiety, guilt, or shame become unbearable.

When we face life's challenges, it's easy to feel inadequate. When we allow stress to control us, we may feel trapped in harmful patterns or unable to go forward. The therapy sessions we have will provide an opportunity to talk about ways to better your emotional and mental well-being. I think it's important to provide a judgment-free zone where people may feel comfortable expressing themselves. I also help clients with resilience and coping mechanisms. I deeply believe in the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship and the profound impact that interpersonal connections may have on one's life.

Dealing with difficult feelings, thoughts, and situations can be challenging and isolating. I find so much value in people struggling with depression and anxiety, as well as those dealing with grief, relationship, and family issues. I also really enjoy working with people who struggle with body image and are looking to develop a better relationship with food, and a better relationship with the self in general. I am constantly learning from my clients who are the expert of their own lives. Additionally, I utilize an advanced evidence-based approach to cognitive behavioral therapy and my holistic approach aims to empower you!

I view psychotherapy as a collaborative and thought-provoking process, in which I support and guide your journey of self discovery and growth. Our work together would be in identifying and targeting the underlying dynamics that obstruct you from achieving your personal goals. I work with people on a wide range of life and relationship challenges, including feelings of depression or anxiety, confusion with one's evolving identity or upcoming life transitions, and difficulties experienced within romantic or professional relationships.
