I am a licensed psychologist conducting therapy and counseling. I specialize in working with adults. I have specialties in the areas of grief, traumas, depression and anxiety however have seen clients for a variety of issues. My primary approach to therapy is based on an insight-oriented relational model to treatment however, I supplement my work with Somatic Experiencing, a trauma treatment informed by the mind and body connection. My clinical work is informed by the understanding that a therapeutic relationship can help restructure one's internal emotional world and cognitive functioning, which is supported by attachment and neuropsychology research.

My specialties include treatment for: mood and anxiety disorders, emotion dysregulation, substance abuse, ADHD, trichotillomania, body dysmorphic disorder, hoarding, women's health issues, relationship issues, asperger's disorder, and avoidant, perfectionistic, and dependent personality styles. I practice using empirically-supported treatments drawing heavily from cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. I treat individuals of all ages.

My goal is to assist teens and their families establish healthy communication and connection. I offer warmth and empathy, coupled with education, experience, and evidence-based tools. For the past ten years I have help teens improve their self-concept, establish healthy boundaries, improve mood, and work through traumas. Also, my training in family systems theory allows me to understand the important role each family member plays in the well-being of their child. Therefore, I work with parents on providing the support and structure needed to help their teen strive.

In my practice, I strive to guide couples struggling with connection and intimacy issues a roadmap to a healthier more fulfilling security that they may not have thought possible. As a trained in the Emotionally Focused Therapy, I have guided many couples successfully through this process. In my practice I tend to work with clients, ages 4 - 85+, dealing with anything from anxiety, depression, trauma, career, social issues, and other things causing turbulence in their life. Also, I work with individuals, couples, and families on how they can best function in the world. Depending on the client's needs I work with them to create a customized treatment plan best for their needs. I am also a collaborative therapist that wants the client to have an active voice in their journey. Therapy is different for each individual and I value helping the client pursue the change they are seeking.
