I come from a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry, where I was able to apply my unique counseling skills in a diverse community of teaching, accounting/finance, analytics, and guidance for students and school leadership. Clients visit the Therapy Institute to address a range of concerns, from mild-to-moderate depression or anxiety to better understanding and coping with relationship difficulties or a recent life transition. After a comprehensive initial assessment, treatment options and recommendations are provided. Clients choosing to start services at the Therapy Institute will have the opportunity to work with doctoral-level psychology students supervised by licensed psychologists.

Hello, my name is Lisa Bolden and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 13 years of experience in the mental health field. Within my work experience, I have had the privilege of working with children, adults, couples and families on a variety of issues. I have worked with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship issues, parenting and life stressors. I have facilitated intensive outpatient groups for mood disorders and addiction, domestic violence and anger management.

Life can be difficult to navigate, but when we learn to use our strengths our curiosity can begin to grow. Therapy is challenging yet the process when met with self-reflection and honest conversation allows for learning to live in true freedom. Though I specialize in trauma therapies and often treat abuse, rape, and first responders, military, PTSD, and other traumas, I have years treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief, relationship issues, bi-polar, PTSD, stress management and other issues.
