Welcome! Alpine Meadows Counseling provides professional counseling services for individuals, couples and families. Currently, I do not have openings for couples or families. I work with individuals with a variety of issues including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, stress, grief/loss, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, self esteem/personal growth, adolescent issues, behavioral problems, intimacy, communication and divorce. I have additional training in couples and family therapy.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I work with families, couples and individuals, both adults and children, using a systemic focus. I work from a strength based model with cognitive behavioral interventions for issues of depression, anxiety and behavioral difficulties. I am also an EMDR trained therapist in working with issues of trauma. I use a variety of influences in working with couples including Emotionally Focused Therapy and am a pro-marriage therapist. I believe in order to realize positive growth and change, a person must find balance in themselves and their relationships.

Navigating the intricate tapestry of life is no easy feat, and that's where my passion lies. Specializing in working with adolescents, individuals, couples, and families, my practice is grounded in a psychodynamic, open, and centered approach. My mission? My name is Erin Thomas and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Northern Colorado. In therapy, every client is different and has differing needs for the healing process to occur. This is why the most important step to me in working with a client is establishing a trusting relationship at the beginning of therapy so that I can understand how to help in the most effective way. Connecting with others in a way that supports them through difficult times in their lives has been my passion and I continue to look for new ways to help those who struggle.

Suffering is optional.” I am an integrative therapist, drawing from various traditions to provide patients a unique, tailored therapeutic experience, generally working in a humanistic and contemplative framework.
