Welcome! My name is Gina and I am here to help. Are things feeling out of control? Do you struggle to find motivation and/or feel overwhelmed in life? Are old ways of coping no longer working for you? I focus on working with adults who struggle with anxiety and/or depression, and all of the challenges that accompany these experiences. Daily and chronic struggles can affect relationships, sleep patterns, physical health, work performance, and fulfillment. I recognize that we are all unique individuals and I work alongside you in self-exploration to address your own personal needs.

As a bilingual (English and Spanish), First-Generation, Latino/Mexican, Male, I have been able to learn through hardships on my own and motivate others to work hard to achieve their goals. I motivate and help individuals pursue and work to achieve personal goals that will positively impact one's self. It is important to be culturally competent in my own work and learn what goes on around our communities. Sometimes it is difficult to unwind and destress without not navigating how to do so.

Relationships get stuck in cycles and patterns. They can feel oppressive, bland, limiting or severe. Sometimes the closest relationships are filled with pain and distance. You might be having the same conversation over and over again without any resolution. It’s becoming disappointingly predictable. The bliss of being together is missing, and you’re not sure anymore if you and your partner are really there for each other. Everything is feeling dull and challenging, instead of bright and exciting.

The most important part of building a therapeutic relationship is to know that I am not the expert of your life. I use empathy and create a non-judgmental environment, allowing humor and the collaborative effort to work towards realistic goals.

Experiencing emotional discomfort, is unique to each individual, our feelings do not know time is passing. Client discomfort/challenge helps define your path forward to your achievable and near goal. Discomfort origins may be hard to find, or you know the traumatic event well; the present echo may generate your discomfort. My name is Emily Kasper, I am a graduate of the University of Florida and specialize in working with children, teens, adults and parents. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida. I am EMDR Trained, and I specialize in trauma and attachment disorders. I believe that everyone deserves to be seen, heard and valued. I believe we are able to heal and shift dysfunctional relationships through the safe and secure relationship in therapy. I believe every person needs a safe place to share their feelings and be shown unconditional acceptance.

Therapy can be a transformative process. My hope is to bring compassion and curiosity into our work, and together, co-create a space that feels authentic, transparent, and just safe enough to explore past experiences of pain and trauma. When we gain insight into how our past influences our present, we open up our capacity for choice and step into new ways of being that align with our values. I agree, it is the hardest thing I've ever done! I love supporting parents. I have experience and a huge passion for working with postpartum parents as well as those with young children (biological, foster, and adoptive). I work with trauma, anxiety, depression, and a variety of parenting challenges. I have training and experience in maternal mental health, somatic therapy, attachment, trauma, mind-body connections, nature, play, and cognitive/behavior therapies.
