Hello, My name is Tanya Navarro and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with Northeast Counseling Center. My goal with clients is to help them get through challenging times such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or life transitions. At the same time, I empower clients with person centered approaches. I am dedicated to providing a relationship that is collaborative.

My goal as your therapist is to guide you to identify your inner strengths during the therapeutic relationship. I specialize in everyday life problems, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, addiction and adjustment issues. I have experience working with people from all walks of life, and assisting individual clients, couples and families experiencing relationship issues. I currently provide individual therapy services to clients experiencing suicidal thoughts, mental health, substance abuse, and PTSD utilizing a client centered, solution focused approach to assist clients in therapy.

In my practice, I enjoy working with individuals, couples or families that are looking for assistance with issues and concerns that they have not been able to resolve on their own. As we work together,it is my goal that they would have a desire to accept and explore possibilities that will help them facilate the changes that will give them the satisfacton, relief and freedom they hope for.

As a psychotherapist, Victoria walks with you as you learn to befriend your inner world. She has a J.D. from St. Mary’s Univ., and dual Master's degrees in Divinity and Social Work from UChicago. She is also a skilled interfaith chaplain who integrates spiritual perspectives to support the emotional well-being and balance of her clients, when helpful. From her hospice experience, Victoria welcomes discussions related to aging, loss, and grief. In her leisure time, she enjoys globetrotting, board game nights, cycling along city Greenways, and nurturing orphaned kittens for local animal rescues.
