My practice centers around providing clients with the skills that they need to thrive in the face of stressful situations. Prior to entering private practice, I worked as a clinical psychologist on the spinal cord injury unit at TIRR. These individuals would have never otherwise sought mental health care but were faced with one of the most stressful and challenging experiences of their lives. My role was to help these individuals to effectively cope with serious, adverse medical events and to live happy, fulfilling lives. Likewise, in my private practice, I strive to help clients successfully navigate complex situations.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who provides evidence-based care for children, teens, adults, and families. I specialize in treating anxiety of all types, depression, OCD, trauma, tics, and body-focused repetitive behaviors (hair pulling and skin picking). I have particular expertise at working with adolescents and adults who struggle with multiple challenges simultaneously, and with severe anxiety. I have worked in numerous settings including hospital inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and private practices.

My primary focus is helping clients build a fulfilling life based on their personal values & goals. I primarily work with older adolescents, adults, parents, and families with a variety of difficulties including: self-harm & suicidal behaviors, intense emotions/emotions that feel out of control, mood (depression and bipolar disorder), anxiety, and substance use disorders. I have extensive training treating disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period, as well. My style is collaborative and compassionate, as well as evidence based, meaning I use treatments that have been supported by research to show they are effective.
