Reaching out can be so hard, but it is such an important first step! We are not made to do the hard things alone and more and more research is showing that we are deeply wired for connection and support. While different seasons in our lives have different needs and speeds, we know that every individual is capable of connection, healing, and wholeness with the right support. Science has shown us time and time again how adaptive our bodies and brains are as they change to manage the stress or trauma of our lived experiences. Therapy is about moving towards healing and growth as we learn to trust ourselves.

Gary holds a BSW from UH-Downtown, as well as an MSW from UH-GCSW. Gary also is a Trauma Fellow and GLOBE Youth Behavioral Health Fellow. He achieved his LMSW in 2016. Often descried as funny, supportive and outgoing, Gary became a therapist because he loves helping people and enjoys seeing change in someone who is struggling. He hopes his relaxed and open approach helps guests know that they are team. He believes that therapy should be guest-centered and guest-led.

Eating disorders often start out as a desire to be healthier, to eat better, or to feel more productive. But it doesn't take long for behaviors like restriction, binging, purging, or compulsive exercise to start running the show. You might even feel like your schedule revolves around your eating disorder - when you will eat, what you will eat, how you will feel after you eat, etc. This will leave you feeling anxious, uncomfortable in your body, and struggling with constant feelings of shame and self-criticism.

My name is Jeanne Ramirez, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas. I work via telehealth with adults and adolescents throughout the state.
