I’m guessing, those crap moments of life are getting the best of you. They bring chaos that can suck the life out of us and literally ruin some or all areas we have worked so hard to be successful in, relationships, career growth, raising amazing kids, or even the small things like keeping the kitchen clean not being late to work, brushing our teeth like we have been told our entire lives. Being consistently overwhelmed can create anxiety or depression, which often turns into isolation and irritation; and we become our worst critics. As you try to do all the things to manage life, there is still no relief.

Sometimes we feel like we are broken into a million pieces. Looking at the pieces feels overwhelming and exhausting. It feels like we cannot do this on our own but we don't want to be a burden on others. Having someone help put the pieces back together can help us feel more whole. Taking a step towards healing is a starting with a helping hand. I am a Licensed Therapist with 5+ years of experience and I am formally trained in EMDR. I like to look at the root cause of our distress and what made us who we are.

My name is Mary Stinson and I am the owner and operator of Sage Counseling Center. I serve teenagers, adults, individuals & families in the journey toward healing. I have been blessed with the honor of helping people challenge and overcome life's hardships, and I am continually inspired by the resilience of the human spirit when we are given the tools we need to be over-comers. My specialty is in the field of trauma recovery and I have extensive training and experience in resolving trauma symptoms.

I work to provide a safe, comfortable, confidential and non-judgmental space for clients to explore and process their current and past struggles. My therapeutic process is collaborative and I look to acknowledge and validate my clients while teaching the skills that are proven to be successful when it comes to making changes. I do talk therapy that is inclusive and affirming of all orientations, lifestyles, beliefs and relationship styles.
