My name is Shomaya and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana and I love what I do. I have 12 years of experience in mental health working as a counselor, crisis therapist, counselor supervisor, and case manager. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, anger struggles, interpersonal problems and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced adverse childhood experiences such as abuse or neglect.

For me, counseling is an exciting, yet challenging process with a goal of positive change. I will collaborate with you to establish appropriate and achievable goals to help you improve your life in a number of contexts. I believe that only you can choose your path. We will work together to achieve your goals through a variety of different interventions. I strive to maintain an open, honest, and empowering relationship to serve as a vehicle for change.
