For the last 3 years, I have worked as an inpatient residential psychotherapist, specializing in those experiencing PTSD, trauma, sexual abuse, and relationship issues.
I have a passion for learning, growing, and adapting through difficult times. I aim to challenge my clients and push you just enough outside your comfort zone to elicit growth and sustainable change. My client population ranges from teens into late adulthood and focuses on chronic stress, depression, grief and loss, acute and complex trauma, and life transitions. Most of my clients are experiencing relationship issues and transitions, career struggles, or just general overwhelm juggling all the things that life throws at us.

I have extensive experience working with men, women, families, teenagers and young children impacted by trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, abuse, and hopelessness.
Sometimes in life, we feel stuck, we don't know where to go, or we just feel confused. Therapy is a great place to start when tackling big - or little - life questions! A good working relationship between a client and their therapist is extremely important; due to this, I feel rapport building is one of the key elements in beginning the therapeutic relationship. My passion lies in working with family dynamic changes, daily life struggles, crisis, victims of trauma, and depression/anxiety.

I specialize in many areas of focus: substance use, mental illness, couples/relationships, trauma, and much more.
Asking for help is hard and you are a strong person for taking the first steps. As a clinician, I recognize the importance of collaboration and the impact it can have on our well-being. Life indeed presents its share of difficulties, and having a safe space to explore those challenges is crucial. Unbiased and non-judgmental support is essential, especially when we tend to be overly critical of ourselves. It’s common to feel like some problems are beyond our control, but together, we can navigate them. Whether the issues are big or small, I’m here to join forces with you, working toward your goals and uncovering new possibilities.

“Peace is the result of retraining your mind to process life as it is, rather than as you think it should be” Wayne Dyer. Do you ever feel like you're not actually living your life? Are you too stuck in your own mind with worry, regret or doubt? Maybe past experiences are getting in your way. Causing you to form negative beliefs about yourself. Leading to perfectionism, frustration, self-judgement and feeling depleted. Do you get stuck in cycles overthinking the past or fearing the future? Making it difficult to move forward. Are you actually missing out on what being alive truly means and the experiences it has to offer?

Our past experiences may shape us, but they don't have to define our lives. Sometimes painful memories, emotions, or even our own behavior can feel like a heavy weight we've been carrying for a long time. This weight can hold us back and can make life feel overwhelming. It can lead to problems in our relationships, unwanted thoughts and behaviors, or disconnection from ourselves and the things in life that matter most. It can feel impossible at times to free ourselves of this burden alone. I'm here to offer hope; hope that this weight can be lifted.

Do you have recent trauma or loss? As a certified Brainspotting therapist, we can focus on releasing the painful emotions and reactions to recent trauma or loss that you no longer need dominating your life, if you're ready. These include grief (profound sadness, anger, shame, guilt, numbness and despair) anxiety, flashbacks, nightmares, and depression. The further back the trauma the more challenging it can be, however I try hard to be supportive and help achieve the change you want. I have worked with all kinds of trauma with compassion. I seek to help you achieve vitality, peace, confidence and wholeness in your body.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
