I am passionate about assisting people in getting in touch with their deepest identities and inherent worth as individuals. I have been a proponent of mental wellness for almost my entire life, and a yoga and meditation teacher for fourteen years before taking the step to being a mental health counselor. Often it can be challenging to find the right counselor for you. I aim to make that easier and hope to create with you a safe space where you can gain clarity to understand the issue and how to best approach it. I work with anxiety, depression, ADHD, chronic pain, divorce, childhood issues ,etc...

I often hear that I make people feel comfortable because I am relatable and easy to talk to; I pride myself on being pretty direct and straight-forward, as well as having a good sense of humor and a positive attitude. I believe therapy can – and should – be an enjoyable experience (even when it is dealing with difficult topics.) I can help you untangle the events of your past (and present) to address unhealed wounds and to make sense of the bigger picture while supporting you in making small, consistent changes in your thoughts and actions.

Kelly earned her graduate degree from Kent State University and has been providing quality psychotherapy to children and adults ever since. Kelly has had the opportunity to provide mental health services in a variety of settings, from residential and partial-hospitalization in the state of Oregon, to private practice and community mental health services in the state of Ohio.

When they enter counseling with me, clients are experiencing depression and anxiety. Usually it is moderate to severe; at times it is in response to a current stressful event or loss, for some clients, their depression is long standing. It is not unusual at all for a new client to have seen therapists previously, without benefit. Yet, after four to six sessions, they tell me that they have already started to experience much benefit, with this also being obvious from there presentation of self, and body language.
