Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I completed my bachelor’s degree in Social Work at the University of Kentucky and the obtained my Masters of Social Work with a clinical concentration from the University of Kentucky in 2018, and have been working in the mental health field ever since! I have a passion of working with children, adolescence, and adults and have worked in a variety of clinical settings. I enjoy working with a variety of mental health concerns, those including, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, substance use, and trauma. I utilize approaches such as CBT, EMDR, and strengths-based.

As a Licensed Therapist, I have gained a wide range of experience working with children, teens and adults. My experience includes working in homes, schools and in outpatient settings. I have experience working with children and adults from all diversities, assisting each individual and their family work towards meeting their treatment goals. I have training and experience helping individuals address an array of concerns, but primarily focus on assisting children, adolescents, and teens cope with a variety of mental health concerns, including trauma and mood related disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, nutrition, and self esteem.

Dr. Barnett is a compassionate psychotherapist with the proven ability to work collaboratively with clients throughout life and as they move through transitions. She is a skilled clinician using evidence-based interventions, including mindfulness, CBT, and DBT, applied through the lens of an insight-oriented approach to treatment. We believe that increased awareness of self, motivations, and values openly shared in a supportive, inclusive environment will help make a difference in the lives of the people we serve.

I am a compassionate and caring Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of clinical experience. I utilize a strengths-based perspective in my work with clients and have worked with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of treatment settings. My primary modalities include but are not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client- centered, Motivational Interviewing and Solution-focused therapies. I have experience working with individuals with a variety of different concerns including: depression, anxiety, grief, relational problems, mood disorders, trauma, and substance abuse. I engage clients in evidence based therapy interventions that include cognitive behavioral therapy, client centered therapy, and motivational interviewing. I provide clients with a safe, non judgement environment to help foster personal growth. I encourage clients to self reflect and look through their life with a difference lense. I believe that everyone has the ability to change and live a fulfilling life and will work just as hard as you to help you achieve your goals
