I had experiences working with children, youth, young and older adults as well as working with couples and groups. Many of my clients have experienced loneliness, live in-between cultures, or hold marginalized identities. I have enjoyed providing psychotherapy for over twenty years. I currently maintain a private practice in Peachtree Corners/Norcross, Georgia where I work with individuals, couples, and families in both Korean and English languages. I offer both short and long-term psychotherapy depending on client need. Nikisha Douge has obtained her Master of Arts in Marriage & Family Therapy (MAMFT) at Northcentral University, with a specialization in couple therapy. Nikisha operates from a systemic, attachment oriented, emotions focused therapeutic lens.

I view my clients as fellow human beings in search of some type of change. For one reason or another, they feel stuck or unable to get where they want. Together we work towards growth by identifying the issues involved, establishing hopes and goals, and increasing awareness of recurring patterns that maintain dysfunction. I find that often these patterns were somehow adaptive, but are now "outdated" for life's current situation. During the last 45 plus years, I have provided experiential psychotherapy to children, teens, and adults in individual, couple, family, and group settings. I have given over 800 lectures on the subjects of divorce, parenting, transgender, family play therapy, supervision, learning disabilities, grief, ADHD, play therapy, adolescence, etc. I am a registered play therapist, certified in EMDR, and provide supervision and consultation to other psychotherapists.

I am a Latina immigrant, a native Spanish speaker, and a naturalized United States Citizen since 1987. After learning English, I graduated from The University of Georgia, undergraduate and graduate school, with the highest academic honors. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 35 years of education and practical experience which are the foundation of my clinical practice.

There are times where we need a bit more support and perhaps an unbiased non-judgmental person to offer that lending ear. Depression, anxiety and stressors can be debilitating for anyone who has been affected by it regardless of age, gender or ethnicity. Therapy is a journey that can offer that support in which the therapist and client work together collaboratively in care. We will both row that boat together to get you to your established goal.

Marni Ledwitz, I’ve been licensed since 1997, promoted through community mental health, to in and outpatient treatment facilities for impaired (addicted) physicians, before opening my private practice. Providing career aptitude batteries and mediation for college kids and C-level team building, showed me that peak performance training can help anyone at any stage. I provide teletherapy to Georgia and soon Florida individuals, couples and families. After getting to know each other, I’ll see which therapeutic approach would work best for you.
