Journeys Counseling was created to be a safe environment for clients to find a space they can feel comfortable working on whatever struggles they feel they need to. We have many different therapists available allowing clients the flexibility to find someone who they will be able to connect with. By achieving this clients will be able to allow themselves the grace to feel vulnerable and work on issues they may have been afraid to address in the past. All of the staff at Journeys are trained in working with clients through a trauma-informed lens ensuring that no one will feel judged based on an interaction with any level of staff.

Therapeutically, my goal is to build a bond with each and every client by meeting you where you are, mentally and emotionally, and always remaining non-judgmental. I am also a Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional and have experience with substance abuse issues in multiple settings. Turning Corners will be embarking on Obesity and Eating Disorders groups, as well as referral services and specialized treatments in the near future!

Spending the last ten years of my life coaching high school and college athletes, I feel a special connection with adolescents and young adults. With that said, I employ a warm approach that has allowed me to connect with individuals of all ages. While our practice focus is grief and trauma work, I work with individuals who do not always feel that is their reason for seeking therapy.

I am an experienced mental health and educational professional with a diverse background of supporting individuals in a variety of settings including private practice, corporate, public schools, colleges/universities, and community mental health. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey towards healing and should be interactive, insightful, and action oriented. I’ve been a therapist of one type or another for the past 30 years. I’m currently seeing patients for a number of reasons, some rather moderate and some fairly severe. I have extension experience with addictive thinking, anxiety (including compulsive behaviors), depression, existential or interpersonal concerns, bi-polar depression, mindfulness and anger. As a rule, I don’t see couples. My patients range in age from 11 to 90.
