Brynley believes the most important role of a therapist is as facilitator. In every interaction, Brynley is most concerned with creating a safe space that allows insight to naturally arise for her clients. She believes the relationship between therapist and client is the most important ingredient in a successful treatment. Above all else, Brynley prioritizes connection, curiosity, communication, and empathy.

I have been practicing psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and couples therapy for over thirty years. I believe that all of us are attempting to better understand our emotions/actions in order to develop a stronger sense of self and to achieve more satisfying personal relationships and careers. While I have completed five years of postdoctoral training geared toward working with highly motivated, insight oriented patients, I have worked in many different communities with diverse populations and am quite comfortable with assisting men, women and children from all walks of life in achieving their personal goals for growth.

Are you living the life you want? Stuck or unsatisfied in your relationships? Tired and depleted? Maybe you have friends, but find yourself wondering who you would really call in the middle of the night. Or your romantic relationship feels stuck, like you are repeating the same pattern over and over. We all know that deeper connection and intimacy are necessary for a more satisfying life, yet we feel that we are not getting what we need or want. Or maybe your pain is related to your job. You are working hard but not getting the recognition you crave. For many of us, we feel depleted or anxious and don't fully understand why.

I know it can be frustrating for adults with ADD/ADHD to find someone who really gets it. You've been told to "just" make a to-do list, or "just" buy a planner... If only it were that simple! ADHD is not simply a disorder among people who forgot to buy calendars. It is a different arrangement of wiring in the brain which comes with challenges, along with unique strengths and abilities. With patience and self-acceptance, you can improve your functioning and habits to begin making real progress towards your goals. Having the guidance of a caring professional who understands ADHD makes this process much less painful.

If you feel something in your life needs to change but aren't sure what, you’re not alone. You might have ideas about what you need and you’re ready for action, but you’re not sure where/how to start. You’re probably tired at this point – tired of feeling distracted, worried, frustrated, or sad. You’re ready to overcome the feelings and thoughts that brought you here. The good news is you’ve already started: you’re reading this, which means you’re closer to finding relief, growth, and strength. Together we’ll face your problems; you’ll learn new ways of thinking and feeling that help you tame your emotions, rather than obey them.

Everyone’s journey to therapy is unique. You may feel overwhelmed by the world around you. People in your life may have expressed concern over patterns in your behavior. Or, perhaps you’re bottling up feelings of anxiousness, depression, anger, loneliness, numbness, or dissatisfaction. These are all valid reasons to seek out therapy, and that is where I can help.

Welcome! I’m glad your journey has brought you here today. Do you feel like you’re hiding the real you? Do you worry that you make decisions based more on other people’s approval rather than your own sense of truth? Do you feel disconnected from yourself and your relationships? Do you desire to live your most authentic life? Maybe you don’t know what it looks like. You might even feel afraid to find out. Life can feel scary at times. And sometimes we face moments that overwhelm us, that cause us to shut down and disconnect.

I believe that everyone who walks into therapy longs for something more — more than their current stressors, internal conflicts, and personal history have rendered possible for them at the present moment. I also believe that everyone has an innate capacity to realize the change they desire. As your therapist, I will work with you collaboratively and creatively to identify, confront, and overcome the obstacles that inhibit your ability to grow and find peace. I may not have stood exactly where you currently stand, but I have walked the path before you many times, with many different people. I look forward to walking with you, too.

I'm a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of anxiety, PTSD /trauma, stress, and relationship issues. Are you feeling anxious about the future or stuck in the past? Do you put on a 'calm and collected' front so that others don't see you struggle? Do worries keep you up at night? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you've come to the right place. Often what keeps us stuck in distress are beliefs or old patterns of emotions. But amazing things can happen when we take a chance to try something new.

Therapy is a place where you are invited to reclaim or discover your true self. Loss and pain are fundamental human experiences that come in many forms, but they are not easy to process alone. In therapy, I can accompany you on your journey to understanding, healing, and embracing yourself in your truest form. My approach focuses on supporting you through building comfort with vulnerability and accountability. Together, we can identify what is not serving you and embrace what is.

What has brought you here today? Have you been feeling the need to talk about the challenges in your life? Have you been experiencing unexplainable feelings of sadness or anxiety for an extended period of time? Perhaps a repressed trauma might be resurfacing? Our stories are unique. In the entire history of the universe, there will never be another you. I would like to walk and talk with you during these complex and difficult times. Together we can gain a deeper understanding of where you stand and why you are here at this moment. In a non-judgmental way, I help identify and address harmful societal and self-imposed beliefs.

Life offers us many moments to relish if we can remain present. However, living in the moment is easier said than done when we face challenges. Barriers from unresolved conflicts in the past and fear and anxiety about the future prevent us from embracing the here and now. Jason uses a combination of psychotherapy and action methods to explore solutions and help clients to heal past hurts. His focus specializes in relationships, healing trauma, life transitions, LGBTQ+, and addiction services.

Life, amidst its transcendent beauty, can at times be challenging, leaving us feeling lost and searching for meaning. Sometimes these feelings are triggered by a specific event, such as the death of a loved one, a major life transition, a breakup or a traumatic experience. Other times, we just can’t seem to pinpoint the catalyst for these emotions. Therapy can be one tool to help during these times. I believe that the role of the therapist is to provide a secure relationship that can be utilized for personal growth, self-reflection and long-lasting change.
