Hello, and thank you for stopping by my page! I am currently accepting NEW clients. The approach I take with therapy is eclectic, as every person’s needs are different. My goal as your therapist is to provide a safe and comfortable space for you to be yourself and assist you in achieving your goals. We are all human, and part of being human means making mistakes. I make them too! None of us are perfect, and I strive to create a non-judgement/bias-free environment for all of my clients. The road isn't always easy, but we can do this together!

I have been working in the human services field for over 15 years in a variety of settings; including private agencies, outpatient clinics, school departments, and hospital settings; while serving children, adolescents, and adults. In addition, I have extensive experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.

No one should have to face any of life's challenges on their own, and that is how therapy can be helpful. Creating sustainable change, helping others to feel heard and understood, and working collaboratively to meet goals are main priorities for me in the therapy process. I have worked extensively with children, adolescents/teens, adults, families, and couples to meet their individual goals and become more aware of their strengths. I have experience with many issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and domestic violence. I would like to provide thoughtful guidance and help facilitate you making positive changes in your life.

The relationship between you and your therapist is a unique one, which cultivates the freedom to share any emotion, thought, or behavior, without fear of judgement. It is important to examine both the "why" behind our thoughts and behaviors, as well as how we can heal our inner or outer conflict, and move forward with improved insight, effective coping strategies, and a stronger sense of self. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, the bulk of my work so far has been with young adults and adolescents, though I often work with families and older adults as well.

My approach to therapy is customized for you to give you the optimal environment to explore what is giving you distress, what you are questioning, and opportunities for personal growth. I work with you to address your challenges and identify ways to manage them. My work is through evidence based approaches. I treat adults , couples, and families in a safe and supportive manner. I will complete an assessment of your current status, identify treatment goals, and make a plan for your treatment with you. I work at a pace with which you are comfortable, taking into account the goals you have identified.

I specialize in treating individuals with depression and anxiety and have experience working with parents and families of adolescents struggling with eating disorders and transgender issues. I use CBT and DBT strategies to help individuals to make desired changes in their behavior. My approach is supportive and compassionate and I believe the foundation to successful therapy begins with establishing a trusting relationship between the therapist and client.
