I am a psychiatrist who specializes in integrated psychiatric treatment that combines biological, social, cultural and psychological perspectives. My practice draws upon various evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches, and utilizes psychiatric medications if appropriate. I strongly believe that each person has a natural tendency to grow and realize her/his potential, but this process is frequently impeded for a variety of reasons. We will work together to identify those obstacles and to explore and articulate the feelings, thoughts and attitudes that are often not fully recognized. This is a collaborative, shared effort in a professional setting that is safe, open and supportive.

Dr. Mark Chofla is a board-certified psychiatrist and physician who completed his specialty residency training at the Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California at Davis, Dr. Chofla earned his medical degree from Midwestern University: Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine.

I believe that good care starts with listening to and understanding the patient's concerns and goals for treatment. I strive to work collaboratively with patients to develop a treatment plan that is evidence-based and individually tailored to help them reach their goals. I provide both medication management and psychotherapy services. I am able to see patients in-person at my office located in Seattle, or virtually through a secure and confidential teleconferencing platform.

I chose to name my practice Binnacle Psychiatry because this represents my treatment philosophy: meet people where they are, assist them to identify their goals and provide a safe and steady harbor for them as they journey towards their goals. Dr. Dampier is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist accepting new patients. She has extensive experience with assessing and treating a diverse array of psychiatric diagnoses. Moreover, she incorporates cultural psychiatry into clinical supervision and psychiatric assessments. Her private practice offers pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy medical interventions. She enjoys working alongside neuropsychiatrist to manage patients who undergo acute and intermittent neuromodulation.

Holding an MSN from Gonzaga University, she provides evidence-based care for those 18+, addressing anxiety, depression, bipolar, and trauma-related concerns. Melissa emphasizes connections with patients, values inherent worth, and fosters respect, understanding, and compassion. Collaborating on holistic treatment decisions, she builds strong therapeutic relationships in a safe environment.

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I work with individuals to achieve optimal mental health through collaborative, supportive care. I provide psychiatric diagnostic evaluation, medication management, health education and brief counseling to adults. My specialties include ADHD and OCD. I am limited in my ability to manage clients that have experienced recent hospitalization or have personality or eating disorders and need a high level of support to maintain safety.

I work with a wide array of individuals. I have chosen to focus on ADHD/ADD, anxiety, & depression, which are issues personal to me.
