I combine my psychiatric and psychotherapy work together, to treat my clients through an integrative approach that works to treat the entire challenge you’re facing, from a medicinal but also therapeutic way. I believe we're all products of the environment we grew up in, but it is up to us as individuals, to grow and learn about ourselves, so we can become the healthiest, and best versions of who we hope to be.

I'm passionate about the importance of people having easy access to mental healthcare. Before joining the healthcare field, I taught in low-income and underserved communities. Seeing the impact that a lack of mental healthcare had in these areas drove me to return to school and begin a career focused on providing that much-needed care. In my eyes, treatment can significantly increase the quality of life both mentally as well as physically.

As a psychiatrist and psychodynamic psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience, I enjoy working with a wide variety of mental health concerns. I have developed special expertise in helping persons with self esteem issues, relationship problems, midlife and career transitions and trauma. I believe that talking through ones struggles, burdens, losses and pain leads to greater fulfillment in life, a sense of hope and joy.
