Finally, an individual's character, personality, temperament, and resilence all contribute to the clinical picture, and can shape the types of symptoms we see and the prognosis. Accepting New Patients: I am passionate about partnering with patients and their families to work together to address mental health conditions along with life transition issues. I work with women and men of all ages with various mental health issues, including pregnant and postpartum women. I use a combination of coaching, therapy, medication management, and goal setting to help patients develop a plan of care based on their goals. As a nurse midwife, I have expertise in women's mental health issues. I also have expertise in treating adults transitioning to college or the workforce and adults in role transition.

Chinyere is a Board-Certified, Licensed Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a BSN degree from Shenandoah University, an MSN degree from the University of Cincinnati, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Chatham University—all with honors. Chinyere has 13 years of healthcare experience with 12 years of that as a psychiatric nurse and 7 years of experience as a nurse practitioner, providing psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and medication management to patients with varying degrees of mental illness, in inpatient/outpatient settings.

I am a board certified psychiatrist. I provide psychiatry outpatient service in South Hampton Roads, including Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Suffolk and Chesapeake. If you are struggling with depression, stress, bipolar disorder or difficulty focusing but talk therapy alone not solving your problems, I can help you with medications. I provide psychiatry medication management for self-pay patient with a reasonable rate because I choose not to take insurance, thus reducing administrative cost.

As a psychiatrist, psychotherapist, and physician, I strive to understand each patient as an individual, with a unique background, set of priorities, and co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions. Treatment modalities offered include use of psychotropic medication, psychotherapy, and combined medication and therapy.

I'm a Child Psychiatrist, also trained in Adult Psychiatry. I can help whether you're a mature adult with problems rooted in your past, or whether you're concerned about one of your children experiencing stress or difficulty, especially adolescents. I have a deep grounding in how we're shaped into the adults we become. I'm familiar with the forces, positive and negative, that operate between children and the significant adults in their lives. I'm interested in and co-wrote a paper about the overlap of Culture and Ethnicity in emotional disturbances.

During the 50+ years I have been serving the community as a nurse and mental health therapist I have learned that you who come to me for help have your own answers locked inside. My additional training in France as a Couples and Family Counselor emphasising a family systems viewpoint has enabled me to better incorporate an individual’s particular context and background when considering treatment. I have been a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since 2022 and am certified to work with patients across the lifespan.

A New England native, Dr. Nadia grew up in Providence, Rhode Island. Providence being the capital of Rhode Island, is well known for its diversity and inner-city flare. As a kid Dr. Nadia experienced the cons of growing up in an urban neighborhood with barriers. Dr. Nadia was able to take these cons and turn them into pros that enabled her to bring a cultivated awareness of cultural disparities into her practice. Her ability to relate to and understand the "struggle" allows her to establish that rapport and mutual respect from patients of all ages. Her down-to-earth approach is always embraced by her patients.

My practice focuses on the mental health of children, families, and young adults. I have experience with a wide range of presenting issues, with the most common including learning difficulties, ADHD, autism, anxiety, and mood disorders.
