I have devoted my entire career to improving the treatment depression. After completing a fellowship the National Institutes for Health, I was recruited to Baylor College of Medicine where I became a tenured professor. I have conducted original research into new treatments, lectured and helped with our national research agenda. I am proud to have my efforts recognized by my peers with with several awards, including "Super Doctor" from Texas Monthly magazine. The best fit for my practice are successful individuals who have recently found themselves suffering from depression.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Honors from the University of Texas at Austin, along with a certificate in Public Health. She then received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She has worked in a variety of health settings, including acute care, psychiatry and neurology.
