My name is Celeste Mendez, and I am a board-certified Mental Nurse Practitioner with a diverse skill set encompassing therapy, medication management, Christian counseling, marriage counseling, and expertise in treating a range of mental health conditions, including ADHD, PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and various mood disorders. Dr. Abby Kent, DNP, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who treats children, adolescents, and adults. She has an integrative and family-centered approach to care and believes all aspects of a person’s life affect one’s well-being. She works closely with other physicians, therapists, teachers, and guidance counselors. Dr. Kent has worked in the mental health field for ten years with patients of all ages. She has experience working on inpatient units with all spans of life, most notably Active Duty Military members and their families, patients suffering with substance use, and pediatric patients.

I have practiced Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry in Mount Pleasant for over 19 years, and in Murrell's Inlet, SC for two years. I offer experienced, confidential and solution-focused treatment for all ages. In every session I do both talk therapy and (when indicated) medication management. The success of my practice is based on my taking the time to really know each patient and his/her needs and to develop mutual trust with each patient.

My 22 years of nursing experience has been dedicated to working with military Veterans in inpatient, outpatient, and community health care settings. In 2016, I started a DNP program at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) specializing in Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner practice. During this time, I completed over 1160 clinical hours treating various mental health disorders.

Michele is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PHMNP-BC) with more than 17 years of experience working with adults who are suffering from anxiety, depression, stress management, adjustment difficulties, OCD, PTSD, and substance abuse. She is hard-working, compassionate, and empathic with a commitment to providing the best mental health care services to individuals. Michele obtained her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Daemen College and completed her Master's degree in Nursing from the University of South Carolina.

Tara Hicks is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in South Carolina who has been practicing since 2022. Her education began at South University where she obtained her bachelors in nursing. Tara enjoyed caring for her patients and wanted to teach nursing students proper techniques. She decided to further her career and attended Western Governors University where she obtained her Masters in Nursing Education. Tara got back into mental health nursing and wanted more, so she attended Walden University and obtained her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree.

He has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the College of Charleston and a Master of Science in Nursing, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
