Gillian Cooperstein is a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who specializes in the psychiatric treatment and care for children, adolescents and young adults (ages 6-25). She most commonly treats depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autism, oppositional defiance and mood disorders. She believes in treating the whole person and is thoughtful when making decisions about medication options.

Marian has over a decade of experience in practice. Marian is a dual-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and Family nurse practitioner. As such, every client's needs are treated in an individualized and holistic manner. Marian specializes in providing medication management to children, adolescents, and adults with depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, thought disorder, ADHD, bipolar, and the list goes on. Our mission is to provide the highest care that is compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered. We know that each patient has individualized needs, so we offer comprehensive assessment and alternative med services.

Our practice is a medication management practice that provides med management services to children, adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, thought disorders and other psychiatric conditions. We are a group of 3 nurse practitioners who specialize in psychiatric treatment, we are caring, compassionate and great listeners.

I am a Brown-trained, board-certified psychiatrist who provides individually tailored psychotherapy to adults over eighteen. I also provide medication management, if needed, for those I see for psychotherapy. I have expertise in treating a range of problems including work and academic stress, relationship concerns, self-esteem issues, life transitions, as well as depression, anxiety, and grief.

I have over 11 years of experience in mental health treatment and medication management. I work with young to older adults who have experienced depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, sleep disorders, ADHD, OCD and PTSD.

I provide medication management and medical expertise around a multitude of issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD and acute illnesses for adults and children. I am a Family Nurse Practitioner starting a private practice on the beautiful East Side of Providence!

I enjoy treating adults and college students who are interested in changing patterns of behavior that are detrimental in their relationships and work life. This is achieved through psychotherapy (and medication where indicated) so that you can obtain your full potential. I am trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, an approach that looks comprehensively at an entire person's life, as well as cognitive and behavioral therapy. My psychotherapy training was through Leigh McCullough., a Harvard professor and clinician who also researched what causes true change in therapy. More recently I have studied AEDP a form of Positive Psychotherapy.

Please note we are private pay only and do not currently accept insurance. We specialize in providing medication management to all adults with various diagnoses. We have completed extra training specifically for treating PMDD, pre and post natal depression, anxiety, and psychosis. Each client will receive a comprehensive assessment, personalized treatment plan, and 24/7 on call availability. Our mission is to provide quality care in a supportive and judgement free environment.
