I enjoy treating adults and college students who are interested in changing patterns of behavior that are detrimental in their relationships and work life. This is achieved through psychotherapy (and medication where indicated) so that you can obtain your full potential. I am trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, an approach that looks comprehensively at an entire person's life, as well as cognitive and behavioral therapy. My psychotherapy training was through Leigh McCullough., a Harvard professor and clinician who also researched what causes true change in therapy. More recently I have studied AEDP a form of Positive Psychotherapy.
I originally trained at an Osteopathic Medical School, mind/body integration is emphasized. I then specialized in psychiatry, and then I pursued graduate training in psychotherapy that offers lasting change. This training allows me to offer comprehensive treatment including psychological evaluation, individual therapy, marital therapy, wholistic treatment and medication evaluation.
I specialize in treatment of mood and anxiety disorders in adults and college students. As mentioned above, I have a wholistic approach to health with a concept of mind body integration and suggest non medication methods of treatment. Also, as one patient pointedly said, "You are not a stuffed shirt".
