Accepting new patients. We provide clinical evaluations and medication management for those aged 4-60 years old via telepsychiatry video sessions and in-office appointments. We offer expert treatment plans to ease your suffering and emotional pain using the biopsychosocial framework. While we believe psychotropic treatment can be both curative and beneficial for symptom management, we encourage our patients to engage meaningfully in their own treatment by participating in psychotherapy, exercise, mindfulness, and healthy nutrition.

I am a Board Certified Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who works with individuals across the lifespan (4-99). I treat a wide range of mental health issues including, but not limited to, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, depression, anxiety, addictive disorders, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, and bipolar disorder. Hello, my name is Nicole Sanchez. I became a nurse practitioner because I genuinely love to help people. I was born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. I started my journey to become a registered nurse because I felt a calling to help people in need and when they are at their worst. I graduated from National University College in Arecibo, Puerto Rico with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 2011. I am fluent in Spanish and English. I have worked as an inpatient psychiatric nurse for over 6 years.

I am currently practicing in primary care in Providence, RI with a special interest in addiction medicine, treating opioid and alcohol use disorders. I often utilizes medication assisted treatments in the care of her patient populations. I am well versed in co-occurring psychiatric conditions that contribute to addictive disorders, as well as multi-modal treatment options. I always take an evidenced based approach to helping my patients meet their individual goals.

I enjoy treating all clients with complex mental health issues. There is no ideal client as one comes from all different backgrounds, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds. I have learned to respect clients individually as they all have their own individual experiences that have caused them trauma, anxiety, depression, and possibly fears of specific situations or encounters. This affects their lives every day and my role is to understand them on all levels and imagine what it is like to be in that situation. I also have my own personal experience with anxiety and this allows me to have compassion in a humble manner.

We use a team based approach to coordinate care between both behavior health and medical providers. I am passionate about working with women who struggle with hormones, fertility, and life changes, with adults in the LGBTQQ+ community, and individuals that struggle with mood, trauma, and anxiety concerns.
