My passion is to provide care that is more than a ten-minute conversation, and the only answer is more medication that is not working. My care focuses on the client and their individual needs. First and foremost, I will listen to you. I believe that the best results come from a care plan that looks at all options, and is created with you. I offer a range of mental health services; medication, eclectic psychotherapy including sessions with equine interactions, and telepsychiatry sessions. NP Certified in addiction treatment & Equine Assisted Mental Health, licensed as a professional counselor. I work with anxiety, depression, ADHD, parenting, OCD, (ERP trained), and women's mental health. I see individual adults and encourage a collaborative approach. Welcome. I am Susan Joshua MD, a psychiatrist who cares about your needs. I have 35 years experience in the field of adult psychiatry. I bring my skills and expertise, with an open heart, to help you with your current challenges and choices. We will use a comprehensive, integrative and holistic approach. An environment of care, support, and partnership will be created in order to assist you on your journey through challenging and chaotic times. I have had the privilege of working with patients for the last 20 years struggling with psychiatric problems. I am living in Colorado since 2019 and l am licensed in Colorado and California. For 10 years I was working overseas treating patients from all over the world. Many patients suffered for years with an awareness that things were sub-optimal only to realize, after receiving care, that they could have felt better long before if they had sought professional help. Optimal care entails knowing that your provider is an expert, that they care about you as a person, and maintaining continuity over time to achieve results.
