I was trained in CBT and was given the Excellence in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy during my residency program. I use supportive therapy with each client I see. I'm a board-certified psychiatrist, and I'm here to help with everything from dealing with depression and anxiety to managing ADHD, OCD, and PTSD using a mix of medication and talk therapy. I am a general psychiatrist with a flexible approach to mental health that aims to combine the best of modern science and psychiatric medications (when needed) with talk therapy and spiritual healing. I work with people 18 and older addressing a wide range of issues including mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, attention and learning issues, and addiction.

I have expertise in psychodynamics, CBT, and psychopharmacology. I have experience in the clinical assessment and treatment of Adult ADHD, depression and anxiety. In 2015, I was named a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. I am a Three Best Rated Psychiatrist in Philadelphia. I was named a Top Doc in Psychiatry in 2020. I am a Doctorate prepared Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. I saw a need for better mental health services. I attended University of Cincinnati and became a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My goal is to strengthen and improve the lives of our clients by delivering exceptional mental health care tailored to meet their needs, and to educate our community about mental health and mental illness while working to eliminate stigma, labels and prejudice. I am dedicated to helping individuals lead mentally healthy lives. I believe that to achieve optimal health we must make a commitment to care for mind, body, and spirit.

Rachel completed medical school at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and psychiatric residency at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt program, where she served as a chief resident for inpatient psychiatry, the Sheppard Pratt hospital, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. She works with patients to understand their mental health goals and determine the best strategy to meet them, including therapy, lifestyle changes, and medication.

The focus of my work is healing, not only mental, but also spiritual and emotional, so that one can reach their full potential. I work with clients of all ages. Having trained at CHOP and Tufts University, I incorporate evidence-based medicine and the latest research in the fields of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology when I practice. I work with almost all psychiatric disorders, with particular expertise in ADHD, anxiety, and depression. I am taking new patients at this time and either myself or someone in my practice is usually available to see a new client within four weeks.

I am an ABPN Board Certified, licensed psychiatrist providing comprehensive psychiatric services for adult men and women in the Philadelphia area and surrounding suburbs. I have a particular interest and spent many years specializing in the evaluation and treatment of complex trauma. My other interests involve helping those with significant interpersonal relationship difficulties, helping women navigate the various transitions they may experience in the course of their life, as well as working with individuals in the creative and performing arts and the particular challenges they may face.

After medical school, internship, and residency training in Psychiatry, completed additional fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Sleep Medicine. Practice focus on neurodevelopment, neuropsychiatry, complex sleep, and consultation for diagnostic clarification.
