Ken is a Certified Physician Assistant with decades of specialty experience. He graduated from Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC with his PA-C degree. Ken has been serving the greater Winston Salem area for years and has touched countless lives through his career. Ken approaches health care from a holistic lens. He believes that self-care, physical activity, and proper nutrition are important components to one’s overall well-being. Ken is well versed in caring with a wide range of clients, from young children to late adulthood. He has a particular interest in treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, and life transitions.

Shifting his career to focus more on medication management in the Matthews, NC area, Nicholas brings with him a vast understanding of what is needed to keep his patients active in their lives and helping ensure that the health of the patient matches their perspectives. Nicholas prides himself on the patient-provider connection and wants his patients to understand that he is a partner in their care and that the lines of communication are always open.

Dr. O’Connor completed his medical education & psychiatric residency at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition to his particular clinical interest in mental health issues impacting university students, he has experience working with patients with a wide variety of mental health concerns. His background in education instilled an appreciation of the tremendous capacity for growth inherent in every person. He was drawn to the practice of psychiatry as a way of helping individuals recognize & actualize this potential.

Lauren is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who helps the underserved feel cared for, understood, and encouraged to reach their full potential. She works with adults using medication management, dialectical behavioral therapy, diet, exercise, and mindfulness. Lauren has a holistic approach to care and believes a suitable treatment plan is one the patient can agree to and follow.

Lori Sloan, PMHNP-BC Lori Sloan is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina who has been practicing since 1995. She is Board certified by the ANCC in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing as a registered nurse prior to becoming an advanced practice psychiatric nurse. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mount Olive and a Master of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University. Lori has an ability to cultivate therapeutic relationships with patients with empathy and respect by allowing them to express concerns and worries without fear of judgment.

Nicole believes that mind care is imperative for a sound mind and body relationship. She provides a safe atmosphere where her patients can find comfort and stability while working to reach their goals.

Dr. Richard Stratton enjoys hearing people’s stories and helping to guide them through some of the most challenging times in their lives. He is most passionate about connecting with people and building therapeutic relationships.

Dr. Alison Riehm is a board-certified psychiatrist and helps with anxiety and mood disorders and women’s mental health. Dr. Riehm has a holistic, collaborative approach and prioritizes getting to know her patients beyond their symptoms to create a treatment plan that helps them achieve their goals.

Amanda, a native of Morganton, began her career in healthcare as a registered nurse at Broughton Hospital. Working in an inpatient psychiatric setting for nearly a decade, and dealing with her own depression and anxiety, opened Amanda’s eyes to the unique challenges faced by those with mental illness. Desiring to have a greater influence within the mental health community, Amanda pursued her master’s degree and graduated from Walden University in 2021.

I'm a board-certified PA who offers medication management for teens and adults dealing with common mental health problems. I am eager to help my patients gain insight into the science surrounding various treatment options. I pride myself on being detailed and compassionate in my approach. I believe that shared decision-making can help patients proactively improve their mental wellbeing.

I'm Gabriella, and I am an ANCC board-certified PMHNP. I have a passion for high-quality, empathetic, and holistic care of individuals struggling with their mental health and believe that the most important member of the collaborative care team is the patient. I obtained my masters in nursing from South College of Knoxville, TN. Prior to that, I held a BSN and BS in Psychology from Western Carolina University. I have a background in inpatient psychiatric nursing where I cared for individuals struggling with many different mental health challenges ranging from substance abuse to mood disorders and high-acuity psychotic disorder.

Joy has worked for 12 years as Psychiatric Nurse with all ages and in different settings. These include inpatient, community, nursing home and group home settings. Joy also worked outpatient providing psychotherapy for patients with drug use and addiction. Joy is a culturally sensitive provider, a good listener, empathetic and always ready to help.
