My experience ranges from mild to severe mental illness in the areas of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and adjustment disorders. I see children and adults. I have worked in mental health since 2007, in all levels of care, residential, out patient, intensive outpatient and inpatient. Dr. Schaefer is board certified in adult psychiatry and has been practicing for over 16 years. Dr. Schaefer's practice focuses on medication management, offered in conjunction with supportive therapy and elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy. Most follow up visits are 30 minutes, and if additional therapy is needed, a therapist may be brought into the care team to provide the best outcome.

I am a double board-certified Psychiatrist with experience treating children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges including but not limited to depression and other mood disorders, anxiety disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), ADHD, adjustment issues, Autism Spectrum Disorder, peripartum depression and anxiety, and psychosis. Dr. Eric Semeko, MD is a Hospitalist in Psychiatry at one of Charlotte, North Carolina's local hospitals. He is board certified in Adult Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Semeko grew up in Ghana, Africa earning his Medical Degree in Volgograd, Russia, completing his residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. He was recently named one of America's Most Compassionate Doctors and has worked in a large metropolitan hospital clinic as lead physician. In addition to his hospital work Dr. Semeko owns a private practice on Park Road; Restoration Charlotte, PLLC.

I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist specializing in treatment of adolescent and adult anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attention-deficit / hyperactivity disorder, and trauma-based disorders. I completed my training at Boston University Medical Campus (BUMC) prior to completing before having my psychiatry residency at the University of Connecticut (UConn Health) where I worked in both adolescent and adult mental health clinics.
