I am currently taking new patients. I am experienced and very comfortable working with older children, adolescents/teens, and adults. I become a partner with each patient and listen to what their concerns and issues are. We then create a plan that both of us are comfortable with and feel confident about as we move forward with treatment. For those that are interested in medication treatment options - I am always eager to help patients make decisions related to this, and will provide education on the benefits/risks of each option.

I have a passion for designing specialized treatment plans tailored to analyzing and caring for the root elements of mental health. My solution-based focus and patient orientated treatment style has attained consistent results. I apply an array of treatment modalities supporting the biological, psychological, and social dynamics of mental health.

Board certified MD psychiatrist who has been serving Nebraska and Iowa since 2014. Born and raised in Nebraska and attended medical school at UNMC and residency at Creighton. My goal for patients is for them to become well enough that they no longer need my services. I do not want patients to just exist, but to thrive as happy and functional individuals. This often includes their relationships, professions and education. I am a medication minimalist and strive for the least medications and lowest effective dose. Much of my time is spent identifying the correct diagnosis and reducing medications started by prior providers.

Mental health is one of the most important factors to happiness. Anyone who has been depressed or anxious can attest to how a life can be affected in a crisis. My mission is to treat people who are suffering and try to work with them to get well.

I Provide comprehensive whole person centered care with an emphasis on shared decision making and extensive education around diagnoses and treatment. I see clients of all ages and can provide research based effective treatment for any type of mental illness.Shared decision making means that you and I will discuss and decide all aspects of your care together as a team. We will discuss the symptoms/difficulties you present with and decide together if a diagnoses fits those symptoms.
