I am a therapist that strives to achieve a balance in the treatment relationship that best promotes healing. I recognize the innate tendency towards health and growth while staying alert to the effects of genes and life stress/trauma on all of us. I work with a variety of age groups and individuals from diverse backgrounds. I provide individual psychotherapy as well as medication evaluation and management when it is indicated. I invest the time to get to know people and understand the context of their problems and strengths.

I am a board certified adult, child & adolescent psychiatrist. I completed medical school at the University of Illinois in Chicago, a general (adult) psychiatry residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and a child psychiatry fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. The training I received in residency and fellowship has prepared me to manage essentially any psychiatric issue that comes through my clinic doors, regardless of severity or complexity.

We help youth with serious learning difficulties and psychiatric/neurological challenges such as lead exposure, violence brain injury. Attention Deficit and Anxiety disorders are further burdened by minimal or no timely or distance access to specialists. I was first trained in General Psychiatry at Chicago Medical School, Rosalind Franklin University and then I finished fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine, Children’s Hospital of Chicago Ann & Robert H. Lurie. I am Board Certified by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology American Board of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr. Ashok Nagella is an ABPN Board Certified Psychiatrist that specializes in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry but does see clients up to age of 64. He has been in practice for 20 years in various settings from inpatient to outpatient psychiatry, has supervised and taught psychiatry residents and medical students, and has worked with a very diverse clientele from private practice settings to community mental health. Dr. Nagella grew up and attended school in the Chicago area.

Dr. Nichols has been practicing in Illinois since 2004. He grew up in California and studied at the University of California, Berkeley. He went on to medical school at the University of Southern California and moved to Illinois in 2004. He trained at the University of Chicago completing a residency in general psychiatry and then further studied at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Institute for juvenile research completing a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry. He has been at life stance since 2018 and enjoys working primarily with children, but treats patients up to the age of 50.

Dr. Jasinski is a board certified psychiatrist who completed medical residency in psychiatry at the University of Maryland Sheppard Pratt program in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Jasinski has years of experience in the medical profession practicing as both a family physician and psychiatrist. He has practiced medicine in a variety of clinical settings such emergency departments, urgent care, outpatient medical clinics, and obstetrics. Dr. Jasinski is the Medical Director of the Meadows Outpatient Program-Chicago and he is on staff at Linden Oaks Hospital in Naperville, Illinois as well as OSF Medical Center in Urbana, IL.

Dr. David V. Alvarez is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Illinois who has been practicing since 2009. My specialization includes treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar, OCD, and other mood and personality disorders, with a commitment to medication management and supportive therapy. I’m also an Army veteran with eleven-plus years of leadership experience.
