As a professional with both psychiatric and clinical knowledge (Psychiatric Board-Certified Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Master of Science in Nursing- FNP), I understand the mental strains in our lives. The good news is that I have specialized in depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder which I am happy to help with the healing journey for both individuals and families.

I am a nationally American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) recognized Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I believe in treating the whole person and not solely the immediate crisis. I educate others to embrace the importance of mental health and to understand it to be as critical as physical health. Everyone is capable of a fulfilling life, regardless of their situation, choices, or past. Quality mental health care should be accessible. I am an experienced, board certified psychiatrist. I earned my medical degree in 1995 and completed a Residency in adult psychiatry at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. I then did a 2 year fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry I worked as an assistant professor at Jackson Memorial Hospital from 2002-2005. I was then voluntary faculty at the University of Miami, Department of Psychiatry. I have vast experience treating eating disorders, ADHD, and autism, via both medication and/or therapy. I am currently residing in both Georgia and Florida, and fluent in Spanish. I offer telemedicine services.

I'm a board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have been providing mental health/ psychiatric care for over a decade. I have expertise with patients suffering from depression, anxiety, Mood disorders, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, substance/alcohol abuse.

I approach each client with open-minded and positive regard put my clients at ease. I evaluate the strengths, needs, and goals of each individual. My treatment plans incorporate wholistic physical, emotional, and cognitive health in addition to diagnostic and prescriptive practice. My treatment plans incorporate affirming motivation for change as well as specific goals and solutions for each individual. Clients can expect to come away with a better understanding of their concerns, tools and strategies for improvement, and medication where necessary.

Each person is a unique individual and there is no single "ideal" client. I believe that the main goal is for the person to learn to love himself/herself. Use of medications is to help balance mood swings or correct low serotonin levels which causes anxiety

Dr. Varshney is Board Certified in General Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine and Forensic Psychiatry. Dr. Varshney was born and raised in Sikkim, India. She graduated from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, where she obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. Dr. Varshney completed her residency in psychiatry at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine/ Elmhurst Hospital Center, in New York City. She then went on to complete a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Worcester, Massachusetts, Department of Law and Psychiatry.
