Her journey began in 1999 when she graduated with an Associate of Science in Nursing from Meridian Community College. She then progressed to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in 2015 and graduated at the top of her class. After furthering her career in nursing management and stress management courses, she decided to pursue the Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatry, at Herzing University where she graduated with honors.

My name is Pam Collins and I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. I am a Holistic Wellness Practitioner with certifications in several different modalities which allows me to integrate holistic and complementary approaches in your care. I treat the whole person not just a piece. I perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, prescribe medications and provide individual therapy. Hello! I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of Nursing experience beginning as a CNA, then as a bedside Registered Nurse for over 12 years, many of which were spent in the critical care unit where I worked during the Covid pandemic. My experience during that time cemented my need to care for patients in order to prevent them from finding themselves in that setting. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, hiking, and spending time with loved ones when not traveling and learning about other cultures.

My experience as a nurse expends 20 years and includes nursing education and emergency room practice. My experience as a provider is 10 years and includes emergency medicine, family practice, geriatrics and practicing as a sexual assault nurse examiner for almost 18 years. My hobbies include cooking and traveling with family and friends. I am a dog lover and proud mother to 2 english bulldogs and 3 human children.

My primary interests include working with trauma patients, anxiety disorders, depression, and higher-level acuity illnesses. I treat patients across the lifespan and encourage clients to continue to learn more healthy approaches to life challenges. After medical school and psychiatric residency at the University of Colorado, I opted for over four additional years of training in intensive psychotherapy (psychoanalysis) beyond what most psychiatrists undertake. While I spend most of my time doing psychotherapy, I also prescribe medications when appropriate.
