I specialize in the conservative treatment of feelings of anxiety and depression, and others. While there are certain diagnoses that may be lifelong, I do not believe they define who you are or your happiness. I am here to allow you the full expression of yourself, and to help you heal in the ways that you need, so that you may feel light and expressive in this world. I specialize in a three-pronged approach. I will address conservative, therapeutic, and medical management. I am the founder of Balanced Mental Wellness and have been a psychiatric nurse practitioner for over 10 years. I currently consult other practices and speak professionally on psychiatric medication and therapy topics throughout the country. I supervise and collaborate with our clinicians at Balanced Mental Wellness, ensuring that all clients receive the highest standard of care from a holistic and patient centered perspective. We offer medication management and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy for various mental health concerns across the lifespan.

I take an integrative approach to treatment which may include medication, psychotherapy, and lifestyle modification to address patients’ mental health needs. I fully believe in the role that sleep, exercise, and nutrition play in mental wellness.

In the past I was a professor of neurobiology, psychopharmacology, and advanced pharmacology at the University of Colorado.

Chelsea attended The Ohio State University, where she received both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health. She is ANCC board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She recently moved to the Denver area, after spending the last 10 years in Columbus, Ohio. Chelsea started her career as a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse at Wexner Medical Center. Upon completion of her master’s program, she worked as a nurse practitioner in long-term care facilities, providing psychiatric consult services to both adult and geriatric patients.
