Dr. Sally Habib is board certified in both general adult psychiatry as well as psychosomatic medicine. She specializes in providing medication management as well as psychotherapy. In addition to the treatment of mood disorders and anxiety disorders her areas of expertise include reproductive psychiatry as well as management of psychiatric symptoms occurring from complex medical illness. She has a private practice in Manhattan and Long Island and has previously served as the associate director of the Consultation Liaison Psychiatry service at NYU Langone Medical Center for over a decade.

Elizabeth Mastro, NPP ANCC Board Certified Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner -Elizabeth received her Master's Degree and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certification from Sage Graduate School. She has experience working in clinic settings with chronically mentally ill adults as well as in private practice providing psychopharmacology and therapy addressing all facets of mental health disorders.

As a Nurse Practitioner, the core of my training was based on seeing a person holistically. In practice, this involves looking at all factors of a person's life, not just the issue that brought them into therapy. Although I am a prescriber, I believe in psychosocial interventions as a first line approach to healing. However, if we collaboratively decide that medications would be helpful, I provide those services as well. Most people have found it helpful to receive therapy and medication management from one person.

Here at the Venn Center, we offer patients a unique therapeutic experience. I conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments, as well as provide both individual and group psychotherapy to clients of all ages. I also offer pharmacotherapy and medication management when appropriate. That being said, 25% of my patients are not on any medication since I employ non-medicinal interventions that help remediate psychiatric symptoms whenever possible. Offering these complementary services allows the clients I work with to feel empowered in their desire for change toward a healthier way of being.

I am an NYU trained and nationally certified Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry. I offer Person-centered, holistic care while working collaboratively with clients. My theoretical leaning is Rogerian, which means that at each session you will experience unconditional positive regard, empathy and presence. I offer combined treatment, which means I see patients for medication management and psychotherapy. Prior to becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I spent nearly a decade in the corporate world - working in both finance (Goldman Sachs) and marketing (at a small start-up). These experiences help me better understand many of the pressures my patients face in their work-life.

My approach is integrative, which means that treatment with medications may be combined with non-medication options, such as mindfulness-based interventions, life-style optimization, and nutritional supplementation. Together, we will develop an individualized well-being plan, which will incorporate your unique goals, and importantly, your perspective on health. My role is to offer these treatment options to you, and guide you as you make the decisions about which of these is aligned with your goals. All treatment options are evidence-informed, based on the medical and scientific literature.

Jocelyn Soffer, M.D. is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist in private practice, offering psychotherapy and psychopharmacology treatment. She received her B.A. in Philosophy from Yale University, and her M.D. from the Yale University School of Medicine. She completed her Adult Psychiatry Internship and Residency at Mount Sinai, serving as chief resident, with Board Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She also completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU, and is now on faculty there as Clinical Assistant Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, teaching undergraduates.
